UPDATE from previous post: The proposed ordinance to ban Mangrove trees in Miami parks has been withdrawn. Thanks to locals, scientists, organizations, and select commissioners of Miami who spoke out, this proposal is no longer on the table. We must maintain our resilience to weather and sea-level rise as long as possible while providing a suitable habitat to the species who thrive around these trees.
