One of the perks of visiting some of the remotest places in the world is the fact that they are free of light pollution and the view of the deep dark sky is mesmerizing. One gets addicted to gazing at this night sky and keeps craving for it every day you don't see it. . I was in the Gobi desert a few years ago on a project supported by @insidenatgeo and I think it was the most beautiful view of the deep dark sky I had seen till then (until I went to Narcondam a few years later). I was there to photograph mountain goats but the experience of being there in the peak winter is a story in itself. The only protection we had from the fast-moving winds in the open cold desert coming all the way from Siberia were these little Mongolian Ger's (small huts), but the deep sky would still draw us out in the windchill to behold its spectacle. #mongolia #gobidesert #storytelling #photography @insidenatgeo
