With so much going on in the world which is tragic, unnecessary and overwhelming it’s easy to talk a lot and not so easy to listen. I can imagine people being fearful of even turning on the news or reading the paper. Listening is a real gift and skill, a trait that should be practiced more often than not. If you tend to be a better talker than listener try listening a bit more. Sometimes those you love only want to be listened to and not spoken to. They aren’t looking for advice or guidance just a good listener. I know I certainly need to listen more than I talk at times. A skill well worth developing.
