Before I started my modelling career in Milan with the agency Beatrice nearly 38 years ago I studied fashion design at Istituto Marangoni. I then worked in NYC as an assistant designer for an haute couture designer. After that I was hired to design a collection and my first piece was this dress that I modelled. I designed the entire collection, but the company went bust before we could produce the other pieces. It was at that point that I sat at a cafe disappointed and with a friend desperately trying to figure out which kind of jobs I could apply for in design when Ashley walked in ( sadly I can’t remember his surname),a well known makeup artist. He worked with the famous photographer Ian Miles. He walked up to our table with that common line “Have you ever thought about modelling?” and proceeded to set up a shoot with Ian. So it all kind of happened in New York. That beauty shoot with Ian got me to Milan. Bought a one way ticket and signed with the agency Beatrice and that was the beginning of my modelling career.
