Yesterday @focus24hire hosted us for our first in person camera trainee workshop. Thanks to wonderful collaborator @cinesamara for making it all happen and dreamboat @visualsbycolleen for showing up in so many ways! @gulliferstravels and the lovely team at Focus24 looked after us so well from demonstrating the lens projector, letting us use the new TLS rehoused Mamiya645 lenses, and serving up an F24 beer! - they are truly great hosts. Most importantly thanks to the fabulous trainees who attended. They’ve all had a go with v-locks, gold mounts, npfs, and a block battery. They’ve labelled lens boxes, logged kit with photos and a spreadsheet. They’ve had a go at camera reports, set up a 17”, 5” and some teradeks. Next they’re ready to get on set and keep learning so hire them on your next project!
