Last year I had the pleasure of working on “Parallel”, a short film that contemplates ideas of belonging, non-verbal communication, and family heritage. This project had such a profound effect on me. Being and working in a room surrounded by faces and mannerisms that reflected my Chinese family was something I’d never experienced in my professional life. A feeling that’s hard to put into words but one that I will cherish forever. I'm grateful to have met so many talented asian and dual-heritage collaborators through this film and for it to have unlocked a new sense of identity and community within myself.
