I’m on the list… dean’s list. Okay honestly this semester was brutal. There were half joking threats to drop out again, last minute switches, independent studies, extensions asked for and only sometimes granted, and red eye flights to make it back for classes in the morning. So I’m taking this space to celebrate. I’m the first in my family to go to college, I withdrew, took time off, did a year online, and like so many other young people have taken an untraditional path. I never regretted the choices I made that lead me here, but watching my peers graduate and knowing I’ll have another year was definitely emotional. So I’ll claim this small celebration on the way. I want to say a thank you to the advisors and professors who accommodated me and my work. A thank you to my team @fordmodelsdigital (@georgiamakely & @alisonkolb ), @speakoutspeakers, @_leilani_mendez . A thank you to my best friends @juan.amaya and @kwolanne. And a thank you to the @genzgirlgang team for holding it down. Consider this your reminder that when you see me or anyone else doing 110% it’s because they don’t do it alone. I certainly didn’t.
