NEWS! Call the Midwife’s Zephryn Taitte awarded the Freedom of the City of London for his community theatre work! 🙌 👏🎉
This morning we received the most wonderful news about one of our most cherished actors - Zephryn Taitte, who plays Cyril Robinson. Yesterday Zephryn attended the beautiful and ancient Guildhall in the City of London to receive a most prestigious award – the Freedom of the City of London! ❤️❤️❤️
This high honour was given in recognition of Zephryn’s outstanding community work using drama as a tool for engagement and crime prevention. Zeph isn’t just a brilliant actor and a central part of our drama, but works tirelessly outside of our production to further youth engagement through the creative arts. As Project Director of the organisation Pan Arts (https://www.pan-arts.net) he even mounted community performances in London’s famous court, The Old Bailey.
Here at Call the Midwife we are immensely proud when members of our team employ their talents and character in the service of our wider community, through charity work or creative engagement in good causes. It goes to the heart of what our drama is about: community - kindness - service. This is an award that rightly recognises Zeph’s selflessness and hard work in the service of others, and we simply couldn’t think of a more worthy candidate ❤️
On behalf of everybody at Call the Midwife – CONGRATULATIONS ZEPH! 👏👏👏👏👏
Call the Midwife returns with a new Christmas Special, and Series 12 in 2023 xx
