Does sensor size matter? Read ‘SENSOR SENSIBILITY’ & find out!
We were delighted to contribute to the article in this month’s British Cinematographer (Issue 112), which included Shift 4’s DOP Colin Coomber’s expert opinion on how sensor size is viewed within the industry.

‘Coomber reports ongoing interest in classic glass, though with a detectable shift toward more modern designs – and not just to cover big chips. “If you’re shooting something for Netflix which requires an HDR delivery, vintage lenses may not be ideal. They flare, they have chromatic aberration…some of those flares might be super bright and super saturated all over your image.”’
For those who want to know more about HDR, Colin has written an extremely technical article about it – just visit our site (link in bio) and have a read.
