i am so thrilled to announce my new project plains with my dear friend & collaborator @jesswilliamson 🦋 jess & i have been friends for years & fans of each other’s records & i think we’ve always felt a sweet kinship. she grew up in texas, me in alabama, individually we landed somewhere in indie rock but both grew up on classic country music as well as 90s country radio. we heard the nuance of that in each other’s songs & it brought us together to make an album i’m extremely proud of & excited to share. “i walked with you a ways” - the debut album from plains comes out on @antirecords 10/14/22 🦋 today we’re sharing the first single “problem with it” along with a video we shot in marfa, directed & produced by corbett jones (@sea__bones ) & nick simonite (@nicksimonite ) 🦋 so many cool people helped us bring this to life & they’re all tagged here. very grateful & more soon 🦋
