Re-homing my mother’s belongings. The ceramic lady with the magnificent bust (done by my father, Quentin Bell, who, in his own dream world, preferred well-endowed women) has found a natural home on the hall windowsill by the umbrella pot. I’ve placed her much-loved pair of lovely Staffordshire lions on top of the kitchen dresser, and they look as if they have always been there.
