17-year-old Mursal Fasihi from #Afghanistan has been unable to go back to school since the Taliban takeover in August 2021. "It's not right that they're ordering us to hide our faces and stop going to school. I hope that young girls will not give up," says the young student. Thanks to the support from the #UnitedNations Population Fund (UNFPA), Musral received training through a regional youth initiative on various issues such as early marriage and early pregnancy. Today, she is one of the initiative's 25 trainers who support young people in the country. Amid challenging humanitarian conditions, UNFPA has increased its presence in Afghanistan and continues to deliver humanitarian assistance, including by providing health services, safe spaces and psychosocial support.
