Danyk is 12. In 2022 his childhood was interrupted by war. His home was destroyed and his mother was seriously wounded when the Russian military invaded Ukraine in an attempt to occupy Kyiv. 💔 Now he cares about his mother and grandmother. His father, stepfather and uncles are defending Ukraine on the frontline. Before school reopens in September, Danyk tries to help other people as much as he can. Together with his grandmother, he have joined the volunteering initiative clearing the debris of buildings outside Chernihiv. All they were destroyed by Russian bombardment. 📷 @evgenymaloletka
