So this is for all those #neoliberal democrats who were ok with rigging the primary against him. Reap what you helped sow. Second, I suspect that this decision is one that will be publicly blessed by the #republicans, but secretly supported by many establishment #democrats. For those who are blinded by the culture war, remember that most decisions made at the top are done so because of economic considerations. Americans are procreating at lower rates than ever. This fact has long term consequences, including: replenishing our labor force and ensuring that the aging generations’ social security remains solvent, that we have plenty of young people to continue filling our volunteer military, and that our for profit private prisons continue to increase their incarceration rates (and therefore corporate profits) with every passing year. Abortions, access to abortions, etc, are not just about some religious nonsense, they’re about demographics, censuses, and ultimately economics. Get rid of the ease to abort unwanted pregnancies, and you ensure more peasants are born to serve the oligarchy.
