Mountain’s 1970 sophomore album Climbing! (the first being a debut under guitarist/vocalist Leslie West’s name) is a beautiful work of 70’s heavy psych. What makes this album so special is how colorful and passionate the playing is. It has a course of electrical energy. The opener is amazing “Mississippi Queen”. Climbing! has a big beefy sound and is raucous and brilliant. Try it out.
