So I heard you guys loud and clear on my last reel, started gapping my SCH 10 joints, I find I do a totally different style of welding, freehand, keyholing unlike the butt up method where you run higher settings, rock the cup and feed the pool allowing it to bleed through. It is nice to be able to see the pen and guarantee it, this may be the way I run these joints from now on because I did notice I was having lack of pen in spots when razor edging and butting up. That being said I feel the need to do some sort of a PSA.
I am a self Taught Pipe Fitter/welder, a lot of the joints I post is me tinkering and trying to figure out the correct way to do things. I truly appreciate any advice I get in the comments good or bad and hope to apply it to my daily processes to become an overall better welder, I do not think I am at the point where I should be telling anyone how fit or weld... at least when it comes to piping.
I made this welding page to document my carrer and it has turned into a decent size platform I hope you enjoy following. My overall goal is to inspire people to take pride in their work and really be proud of what they do! Therefore, I will continue to strive for greatness in hopes to make others do the same. Thanks for following and I appreciate you all, keep on burning 😎
