Und mit diesem Foto verabschieden wir uns von der Safari und auch so langsam von Südafrika. Selbst das Nashorn-Baby ist etwas traurig und wir auch.
Es war eine sehr schöne Zeit. 3 Wochen waren wir unterwegs und konnten dieses Land zu 99% von seiner schönen Seite kennenlernen. Warum nicht 100%? Naja, das 1% war auch geprägt von weniger schönen Momenten. Wir haben viel für unser Leben gelernt. Zum Beispiel, dass es uns hier, in Deutschland, gar nicht so schlecht geht. Wir genießen sehr viel Luxus als Normalität. In Ländern wie Südafrika und vielen anderen ist Luxus für viele Menschen gar nicht erreichbar. Und da spreche ich nicht von einem Mercedes, einer Jacht oder einer Villa. Ich spreche von einem Dach über dem Kopf, fließendes und sauberes Wasser zu jeder Zeit und auch von medizinischer Grundversorgung. Man sollte sich stets vor Augen halten, dass das alles keinesfalls selbstverständlich ist. Nur weil wir im Geburts-Lotto gewonnen haben, sollten wir glücklich sein, mit dem, was wir haben.

How utterly wonderful is this leopard cub footage by @daniel_charles_bailey…?! These are the cubs of the Island Female and seeing them play like this is one of the most magical sightings imaginable! These little guys will start to practice hunting at around 7 months and will disperse to establish their own territory after 18 to as much as 30 months. 🤩🐆
