Dog days at the beach
Charlie's 6 months old now⚡️a 15lb ball of energy⚡️
The Wickaninnish was such a great place for Charlie. They only have a few dog friendly rooms but treated him like royalty. Bonnie Prince Charles had this entrance to the beach right beneath our room. They provided a kennel, a great mat in front of our fireplace, a few toys (including a ball and thrower), poop bags, etc. When he returned from his romps on the beach, everyone greeted him by name. What a great time for this little fellow; a doggie paradise for sure.
Tofino recently imposed a leash law for the area beaches to help protect birds. Apparently, not many dog walkers abide by it, most seem oblivious. When you ask Tofino locals about it, they repy like: What? We have a mayor? Anyway, I let Charlie offleash once-in-a-while but was mindful of others and kept an eye out for any birds he might bother. Frankly, he doesn't care much for them, he is more of a ratter with a penchant for squirrels.
Btw, I can't remember him barking much out there, and I picked up every little bit of poop he so happily dumped. Such a feeling of freedom for him, he's like a new dog.
