When it comes to the world of digital, taking a standout #afterphoto has become more and more important. @skipdoeshair shares these great steps for getting the shot!
"Here are a few of the things I like to do when directing clients to get a good 'after!'
1. First off - let them know that you’re in control. Very few clients are going to feel super comfortable SOLO in front of a camera! In the words of Ricky Bobby, 'I don’t know what to do with my hands' 🤷♀️ Just tell them they can just relax because you’re going to tell them everything you need them to do!
2. POINT where you want them to turn their head. Left or right can be confusing as shit when you’re feeling like a spotlight is on you! ↩️🤯↪️
3. Ask them to turn their head not their whole body. We’re going for hottie haircut vibes not mugshot realness 🙅♀️🤣
4. See an angle that really POPS?! Ask them to just cut their eyes at you! You’ll see it in your video, this is that magic moment 🪄
Bonus: while filming move your camera closer to them and then further away. This creates depth and dimension in your video! Lighting and focus will change which creates a more interesting video! 🎥" - @skipdoeshair
