Hacked explorations and hardcore dance delights—welcome to the final day of CTM Festival 2022:
> After this intensive week of sonic experiments, our Hacklab participants gather to present their work over at Kunstquartier Bethanien: https://bit.ly/Hacklab-22
> Three heavy hitters of aural abrasiveness converge at Heimathafen Neukölln, as our Closing Concert brings together the punk fury of Berlin’s Urin, avant-garde Indonesian titans Senyawa, and the ultra-intense hybrid hardness of Bali’s Gabber Modus Operandi: https://bit.ly/CTM-ClosingConcert
> Then it’s an easy walk to SchwuZ for our Closing Party, featuring three floors filled with a diverse selection of sonic disruptors from around the world—from New Orleans Bounce and jungle-infused trance to dark and psychedelic club rituals, we’ve got every mood covered. And if your mind needs a break, @refugeworldwide will present an all-night B2B session with chill-out and ambient vibes.
See you tonight—our bodies are ready 🤸

Producer and vocalist Avtomat is well-known for hosting a bevy of beautiful Polish queer parties as well as his bass-heavy tracks, riddled with improvised vocals and uncanny rhythms. Ahead of his CTM performance at Panorama Bar tomorrow, get a closer look at his musical influences, his thoughts on the politics (or lack thereof) in the current club scene, and his fears and hopes for Polish society as he sits down for a chat with @dominika.sitnicka.

Today at CTM, join us first in Kreuzberg’s Kunstquartier Bethanien for informative discussion and a strong espresso before we head back into the club.
> The second part of our 2022 Discourse series, ‘Music and Sociality’ explores transcultural aural spaces, the Black Avant-Garde, decolonizing music research and the sounds of transnational migration.
> Hackers gonna hack, as our aurally explorative Hacklab inputs continue upstairs at AL.Berlin.
> It’s back to Berghain as Born In Flamez side-project dj botox opens the night with pure genre irreverence. Loraine James brings Reflection to the floor with her new album of emotional, vulnerable and complex sounds. Whether interrogating power electronics or spitting acidic UK bass drops, Jennifer Walton is guaranteed to bring the intensity. Aquarian, however, brings the intense 𝘈/𝘝 with a live performance exploring the interplays of machines, humans and ecologies. Broken-down trap, textural noise and harsh ekstasis melt into one another for Shapednoise’s special performance of ‘Overweight Sub Mutations’, rounded out by Ostbam’s old-school, high-energy selections.
> Meanwhile, Panorama Bar will be electrified by four forward-thinking selectors blending an HD mixture of hard-hitting club genres. Bloomfeld kicks off the floor, merging Afrofuturist bass with club deconstructions. Yung Singh brings a unique combination of UK bass, jungle and Punjabi music, while DJ Fuckoff serves up bleeding-raw sets of shapeshifting electro, juke, ghetto tech and more. Annihilating the night, Yazzus pumps it up and out with ‘90s-inspired hybrid hardcore. Mischung: Possible.
NOTE: We still advise not bringing large backpacks to Berghain if you can; you'll have to go to Ostbahnhof to stash them in lockers before coming back again. Please take care which line you're standing in ✌️

Take off this Friday as Edna opens the floor at our Panorama Bar special. Full details in our bio link—remaining tickets available at the door only.

NOTE: We advise not bringing large backpacks to Berghain if possible; you'll have to go to Ostbahnhof to stash them in lockers before coming back again. Please take care which line you're standing in, as there are events running at Kantine and the Lab. We don't want you to miss anything! We even made you this handy graphic.
See you today!

Building a challenging combination of uncanny textures, maximalist beats and social introspection in his sets, Pisitakun is a force of Chaotic Good in performances across the world. This Saturday, he’s bringing that whirlwind of high-intensity sound to RSOberlin for a triple-decker showcase of some of our favorite experimental club vibes.
Native to Thailand, Pisitakun’s work focuses on his country’s political turmoil, interrogating values and systems as it builds to a frenetic climax. Yet the mood is never overtly somber, preferring instead to coax the listener’s mind and body along in a cavalcade of fiendishly fun rhythms.
Catch Pisitakun May 28th on the second floor, replacing @methmathxoxo who will be performing during the concert with @kokokomusic.

Our Berghain programming starts today, and with it comes the premiere of a special installation.
A collaboration between Theresa Baumgartner, Sam Slater, and Lukas Malkowski, ‘Vandals’ is an exploration of the inevitable, a study in body movement filmed in ultra-slow motion. Malkowski, a performing choreographer, is shot from multiple angles as their body moves, encircled by Slater’s music as it falls forward in collapse—only to be reset to its original position.
The repetition of movement, particularly in techno clubs, presents a pattern of energy. Greeting you upon your arrival to Berlin’s legendary dance temple, ‘Vandals’ presents the viewer with a glimpse of their own evening: entangled within the self-destructive pleasures of the party ritual, falling in increments only to rise back up and begin anew.
