To 'just accept' our pain, illness, or other challenges, can feel like too much pressure - what if we can't be that 'inspiring'? We could feel like failures;
But it's not that simple for most of us.
For me, I have always needed resources, like self empowerment through knowledge & practical tools or methods. It has never been as easy as admiring and enjoying where I am at, even if it's shit. And it can be shit!
For you it might be connection in community or family that allows you to contain and feel the full range of experiences & emotions. Or maybe you feel more able through self care, or empowerment through choice.
There are so many ways we can resource ourselves towards feelings of safety, capability and acceptance, but don't feel like a failure if someone talks about it as though living from a hospital bed is something to be grateful for and you can't get there.

“Damn bro you eat healthy”
That’s what the guy at the grocery checkout said to me yesterday.
I smiled and said, “you’re damn right I do, thanks”
I hope you learn a lot from following my stuff on here. Please take from what I do well and learn from what I screw up.
If you take nothing else away, my hope is that you realize your health is your hands. No one else’s.
The past year exposed our citizens as the obese, sick and near dead many of us are. The statistics are staggering...
HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of people in our country are metabolically unhealthy and have one or more chronic diseases.
Chronic diseases like obesity, diabetes, hypertension and heart disease kill MILLIONS of people per year in the USA.
PER YEAR....
The NUMBER 1 factor in developing chronic disease is diet and lifestyle.
We spend TRILLIONS of dollars per year on healthcare. We are all part of a system that doesn’t actually try to get people healthy.
As long as we stay sick enough, the cycle continues.
We hear the phrase, “we are all in this together” a lot these days 💉 ...my choices effect you. Yours effect mine.
Wear things and do things not for you, but for me 😷
If we all keep doing what we’ve been doing for the last few decades, the cycle continues. We stay sick and vulnerable to the next 🦠
Or we could decide to make better choices...daily. We could all collectively take back the power and develop resilience to the next pandemic 😷
Your health. Your family. Your life. Are your responsibility.
