Did you know, that according to an article in the @nytimes, most abortions are now banned in at least ten states as laws restricting the procedure take effect following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade?
An additional four states now ban abortion at about six weeks of pregnancy, before many women know they are pregnant.
In more than six states in the USA, abortion is now banned with no exceptions for rape or incest.
I find these facts extremely disturbing.
Fortunately many people are standing up to fight for female reproductive rights. As a part of that fight, The @untitledspaceny has just launched “MY CHOICE" benefit auction presented in collaboration with @art4equality, a non-profit initiative supporting equality-themed art exhibitions and special projects including films and public art by female-identifying artists and allies.
A portion of proceeds raised from the benefit will be donated to reproductive rights organization, @thecenterforreproductiverights, a global human rights organization of lawyers and advocates who ensure reproductive rights are protected in law as fundamental human rights for dignity, equality, health, and well-being of every person.
This painting of mine Never Enough is featured in the auction. https://untitled-space.art/collections/my-choice-benefit-auction/products/annika-connor-never-enough
A large original Oil on Linen painting by me @annikaconnor this piece would sell for a lot normally, but if you get your bid in early you can have a chance to buy it at 50% the normal cost.
So go on, support women’s rights, activist art, and #buyfromlivingartists and bid today.
There are a lot of great works in this sale, see them all and bid at https://untitled-space.art/collections/my-choice-benefit-auction
