🎧AUDIOBOOK REVIEW🎧
Flying Solo is a books that’s a little romance, a little finding yourself, and a little heisty. Laurie, an almost 40 year-old recently broke off her engagement and finds herself back in her hometown cleaning out her aunt’s house who has recently passed. While cleaning the house, she uncovers her aunt’s life through her possessions and learned that even though she was single, she had a full, exciting life. With help from her past, Laurie finds an interesting artifact that seems to be valuable: a wooden duck. But in the process of cleaning the house, it goes missing and they have to plot to get it back from the thieves.

With all of that going on, the book itself was a little scattered. It had some really special moments - Laurie & Ryan’s brother/sister bonding was nice, Laurie’s existential almost 40 crisis was relatable, and the second chance romance was cute. But you really had to listen to pick those heartwarming moments out in the midst of the controlled chaos of 3 different plots and some back and forth timelines.
