“I love to be in a pretty room, so I keep pretty bowls and trays filled with the things I’m using. My upstairs art room is most comfortable for me to work in because of the light, and I can see outside down into my little flower garden.”

Terri Tharp lives in Hutchinson, Kansas, where she loves to create “something out of nothing” assemblage art by using old lampshades to hand make what she calls paper chandeliers. To capture a feeling or theme of whimsy and enchantment, she adds jewels, antique buttons, photos, prisms, beads, ephemera and whatever she can find or create in order to tell a story that pleases the eye.
