Farewell to the maestro Vangelis (1943-2022), the Greek composer and musician, who coloured our lives with such synthetic gems as Albedo 0.39, Blade Runner and Chariots of Fire, the latter of which has become a classic in terms of both image and sound now. His progressive-rock quartet Aphrodite’s Child were an epic band who I’d most certainly recommend checking out if you aren’t familiar with them.
