Happy last day of pride month but for me I celebrate pride everyday. You know how important it is to speak about how much visibility means to me as queer black fat alternative woman in the fashion industry. I am existing in a space that I don’t see many people who look like me. Navigating it and being able to do what I do allows other people who look like me to see me and see that I am making it possible to look and be different and still be able to do what what you want to do. Visibility is really important especially when you are growing up to see and relate to people who are like you is very comforting. It also brings a lot of hope and inspiration. I am grateful everyday that I have stayed true to who I am and also get to do what I want to do in this life time and I hope to inspire, be visible and also show people how possible it is to excel at your craft in these spaces.
