ππ¨ππ¨ππ¨π THE PEGGY JAY GALLERY SET DESIGN MOCK-UPππ¨ππ¨ππ¨π
Documenting initial concept ideas for the set design I created to celebrate the first event for @queergeorgiansocialseason at @burghhouse1704 commissioned by @bougiesbaroques for #pridemonth2022 following the concept of "#Neon#Pastel" that myself @markfrancis1982 and @ianpeterb came up with during our first meeting earlier this year.
The #installation that was originally intended to feature in the #PeggyJayGallery was inspired by the thought of a #romantic#chance meeting in a #beautiful#overgrown garden. Cardboard cutouts of a #Molly and a #Macaroni flank a large rounded #overgrown#wickerchair.
This was intended to provide the perfect opportunity for people to take a seat and take photographs for social media on their very own #throne.
The overgrown feel would have been achieved using imitation #vine#leaves, giving the sense of a #secretgarden , an especially nice reference as this room is towards the back of #BurghHouse and will be a #fun scene for guests to #discover on their tours around the house during the #event.
On either side of the chair, I imagined 2 fountain style #motifs would have been cut and slotted into each other and again draped in imitation vine and #flowers.
