An effort to keep bars open later in San Francisco, and other cities, was defeated in the state Assembly on Wednesday. Senate Bill 930, written by state Senator @scott_wiener (D- San Francisco) and Assemblymember @matthaneysf (D- San Francisco), would have allowed bars in San Francisco, Palm Springs and West Hollywood to serve drinks until 4am on weekends and 3am on weekdays.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our H(API) Hour on Friday! It had been over a decade since this initiative, originally championed by City Attorney David Chiu and friends, was hosted.
