@moolahkicks founded by @nattyewhite, is the first basketball sneaker brand made exclusively for women. This summer, we have been treated with four new and bright colorways just in time for summer!
Dubbed the "Paint Shop" Pack, two of the limited edition pairs feature a vibrant neon pattern made up of lime green, blue and pink. Whereas the other two possess more neutral hues, like a soft lavender and grey.

Yesterday, Olivia shared a glimpse of the @originalrose x @adidasoriginals vases, planters, and apparel found exclusively in the @adidasnyc locations. This is part of the Adidas "VOICES" initiative, - giving a platform to local artists.
Along with the gorgeously vibrant orange ball planters and printed ceramic vase, there are also t-shirts and crew-necks gifted with your purchase at both the NYC Adidas stores. Both have a flower-filled Adidas samba print, as well as her signature (written by her mom ;) on the left sleeve.
How cute is this! Now I shall magically teleport to NYC real quick to see this up close brb…

The @melodyehsanishop has been freshened up and fully renovated, just in time for us to stock up on the stunning spring/summer 2022 collection!
As well as being a beautiful home for all of the latest ME apparel and jewellery, the store also serves as a safe space for the La community to come together and connect through a love of fashion!
Just a few days ago the newly renovated store was completely packed! Full of people who came along to soak in the insightful conversation that took place between the inspiring @melodyehsani, @naklew@iya_fabunmi & @jaimeeswift.

@crocs has been seriously upping their game with collaborations, and this one does not disappoint! For her first-ever collab with the brand, @sza created two limited-edition designs featuring the Crocs Classic Clog and Crocs Classic Slide silhouettes.
Both boasting a nature esc design, as the singer has continued to mention her love for nature. The first classic croc has “a warm woodgrain pattern and colorful custom Jibbitz™ charms” that match the singer’s personality as well as the “totems that keep her grounded, calm, and collected.” SZA’s Crocs Classic Slide, on the other hand, feature “inspiring custom Jibbitz™ charms to find your personal comfort and stay Zen—then pass the positivity on. ”
“Aside from introducing two shoes that you’d certainly want to add to your wardrobe, the collab also has a charitable angle as profits will go towards supporting Mental Health Awareness Month. Crocs and SZA have tapped a number of public figures advocating for mental health, self-care, and Black communities. Officially dubbed as “SZA’s superheroes,” these include Sage Adams, Yaris Sanchez, and Donté Colley.”

@nakedcph and long-time partner @adidasoriginals have unveiled their sixth collaboration, reimagining the iconic Supernova Cushion 7.
As NAKED would describe it, they “sought to examine and demonstrate the transformational, transitional nature of energy and its physical, emotional and spiritual sources. From the world around us to the friends and family in our lives, the sources of energy that power us forward are endlessly beautiful and complex, forever shifting with time.
As they choose the archival Supernova Cushion 7 as their sneaker of choice, this updated iteration takes on a black-mesh base with patent leather overlays. With vibrant hits of purple can be found throughout, while the toe features shifting, iridescent detailing that ties back to the fluctuating nature of energy. An elastic adiPRENE sole and Torsion TPU arch strengthen the midfoot while allowing for greater flexibility and impact absorption. Finally, co-branding can be found on rubberized tongue tags and on each rear latera.”

In honour of Mental Health Awareness Month, we collaborated with the lovely college student, mental health advocate, and athlete, @lekoritchie. To highlight the effects of sneakers and sneaker culture on our minds and mental health. Highlighting the upsides while also acknowledging the downsides.
@lekoritchie recognizes that there is still a lot of work needed to be done in destigmatizing mental health within colleges, sports, and other communities.
“Sports has introduced a new love of sneakers for me, and I hope to leverage sneakers as a way to normalize the conversation of mental health through sharing personal narratives of ourselves with others.” This post is dedicated to how sneakers have supported the mental health awareness movement, but also highlights areas that we as a community need to tackle as we move forward in making change happen within the mental health space.
Yet, it is important to consider the materialistic hype nature of sneakers that can have potential negative impacts on our mental health…
Therefore, it is important that we learn to gradually shift our mindset collectively in seeing sneakers' values as for what they are. As well as the need to create communities where we can acceptingly and openly learn from one another with no shame, guilt, or fear in not knowing everything all the time.” - @lekoritchie

Earlier this year Berlin born artist @bahar_bambi came up with a vision through painting which describes the attitude she aims to live by. With that in mind she created a photo series and short video titled “She King“, an ode to women empowerment (featured on @vogueturkiye!).
“It’s inspired by women who break boundaries of all kinds, women who represent greatness and come in so many different facets. A queen that has become the KING of her own empire.

Nothing better to brighten up those “almost end of the week but not quite” feels with a bit of community love.
A little #tbt to last months @thegiveandgrow art pieces for the 2022 “Alley-Oop Project! By which 10 local female artists designed there own unique basketball planter for the community. All their gorgeous planters were exhibitied at the @the_local_gallery during April. Give and Grows Project was also apart of a larger basketball themed gallery called “In the Paint” alongside other Toronto talent.
Always love to see what @ohoxo is getting up to, as she continues to enrich the sneakers/basketball community for women🤍

Marking 40 years of “Made in the UK” at @newbalance’s factory in Flimby, the sportswear brand released a short film that serves as a tribute of the history of the factory, the people, places and stories of the town.
Featured in the celebratory video is a special-edition New Balance Flimby Catalogue pack. The exclusive collection features five silhouettes — the 991, 773, 1500, 670 and 920 — and pays tribute to the Made in U.K. heritage. With all pairs embodying a more aged yet timeless aesthetic, all completed with that quintessential human touch which cannot be replicated by machine.
