It had been a busy week, so busy she hadn’t had time to do any laundry…. but as she was only going to the local cat shelter to feed the cats her old faithful, 90’s lumberjack shirt would do nicely. Helping at the shelter was a relief to Sindy, she loved being around animals… they soothed her nerves and she felt at peace. It gave her time to process her thoughts about the other evening She felt ridiculous, … the whole evening had been an embarrassment! She kept re living the conversation in her head over and over… why didn’t she just tell him she didn’t want to go, or she’d given her “prize” to someone else…. Prize indeed …who did he think he was …. There would be three people on this date her, him and his ego!!
