Those which lived at the shelter Friend before the war and hundreds of others arrived recently are not safe at all. We provide temporary stay with hopes for the best. And we can’t really help unless there’s some rotation. Thousands of dogs die on the streets from bombs, hunger and stress every day... The little one from our below post is in the hospital. He has rickety 😥 and also anemia due to flea infestation 😭. He was treated for parasites, because they were eating him alive. The puppy was named Medok. Now Medok needs good nutrition like dry food for cubs as well as vitamins D3 (Aquadetrim, Calcium-D3 Nycomed or similar). As you see, he can’t walk😭, he’s not able to get to the food, to hide or to run away from the danger. Probably rickety, but could have been run over by a car or fallen from another blow. Watching him roll from side to side is impossible😭 He’ll be brought to the clinic soon. The useful yet most difficult habit is "thinking" and using your brain. That's why more and more people are getting rid of this "habit". Today Ukraine marks its independence day. It’s exactly six month since ruzzia invaded the country, killed thousads of civilians, destroyed tens thousands homes, schools, cities, and villages... Forced over 8 mln people to leave their houses. Yet 70% of ruzzians support their king and this senseless war. Huge ruzzia can't even give a reason for its acts of killing and creating mess and horror we’re trying to survive in. War didn’t destroy my home yet, I’m lucky. But it made me weak, very sensitive and disoriented. I guess all of us, including people around me became older and aged out in these six month. Due to this war, millions of animals have died from starvation, millions will die soon, and millions were displaced, so the shelters like mine are exploding from pleas, cries and newcomers. I don’t hate you, ruzzian people. I scorn all of you. For all the killings, for your close-minded thinking, for all those souls I can't safe, for all the suffering.

Thanks to Olga, Illa from Dnipro Volunteer Coordinating Staff, and thanks to YOU one more family could get together. Also, the old lady with 6 cats is protected from the bombarding. Grandma refused to leave cats, she lived in fear every day... while her daughter was trying to find anyone who would agree to evacuate her mother together with the animals. The same time she was looking for a foster home for the cats in Dnipro, as she couldn’t take them to the apartment she was renting. Luckily, I still had Olga's contacts and she helped me 🙏 Illia has brought the old lady, and the daughter met her mother for the first time in a few months. I placed her cats in an unfurnished room. Thanks to Victoria Kirilyuk 6 places became vacant in the shelter, because she took Avdiivka cats to Lviv . ❤️ Thanks to Petja Petrova and Vlad, the cats went to Kiev, and after a rest there, they moved further to Lviv. New SOS 😥 another misfortune after a car accident 🙏🆘🆘🆘🆘 Poor broken and scared Jaros was abandoned in the hospital😥 I hope not by his owners... The clinic asked us to take him under our care. X-ray showed the dislocated head of the pelvic ankle joint. Jaros needs an operation because he can’t walk😥 Next to all the pain, he has cranial trauma and multiple lacerations on his legs due to being pooled under the car 😭. We hope he will not be crippled, as we have only two days to start an urgent treatment. He’s currently on IVs to avoid puffiness in the head, and now he is ready for surgery. WE URGENTLY NEED HELP! PLEASE DONATE! 😭🙏🙏🙏🙏 Right now, Avdiivka, Donetsk region… One week ago, the animal shelter of Eleonora Krutova was burned down from the cassette bombs... A week before this attack Eleonora was able to evacuate the dogs, but not the cats😔... The cats could ran away. They are slowly coming back after a week, but there’s no shelter anymore, only the ashes which were in fire still for few days. One place was found for cats not far from there, but the windows shattered in the night because of the explosions... Tomorrow the cats will be evacuated to us... A bit about the cat situation at the shelter today. The lack of space is very affecting. Normally, each cat should be vaccinated at arrival, but they all come in such bad conditions that I can’t vaccinate even domestic ones. They are under terrible stress, either old or pregnant, that all chronic conditions emerge and again endless tests, IVs…🤦 The spring and summer season of rhinotracheitis, chlamydia, and panleukopenia makes it worse! The construction is ongoing! We are pushing the builders, they are working very fast, but that means we also have to buy the material quickly and pay for the work asap. We need funds for everything... Thanks to our friend from abroad all over Ukraine, we have feed and medicine, deworming and tests🙏 If it were not for you all, we would choke in debts and would be able to help to that many animals! Now we could share your help with other people and animals in need. Yes, we desperately need financial help to pay clinics, construction, vaccines which cant be delivered from abroad… So the sooner we’ll build, the sooner we can help to more🙏 We’re at standstill right now. WE ARE RESUMING THE CONSTRUCTION! We receive nonstop calls to accept new animals to the shelter! 😫 It's scary to accept them now, invest work and money… because nobody knows what will happen tomorrow. But there are so many animals that I just don't know where to place them anymore.😭 Six cats were admitted today, four from Donetsk region, two from Mariupol. Each of them has fear and despair in their eyes...🥺 If we don't build and expand the shelter quickly, we won’t be able to help anyone else. Thanks to your help so far we are still afloat and can even share food with Kharkov, Chernigov and local volunteers who feed the homeless animals or those who have shelters at home.🙏 We have to start collecting donations because we can't afford the construction. We need to hire construction crews to do it as quickly as possible, and work day and night.
