The news was confirmed in a statement on 8 August by her husband, John Easterling, who said that Newton-John had “passed away peacefully at her ranch in Southern California this morning.” While the cause of death was not stated, Easterling noted that Newton-John “has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer.” She is survived by her daughter, Chloe Lattanzi.
