The annual sales figures for motor gasoline and diesel show that the country used up to 20 billion litres, of which 400 million litres were sold via credit and debit cards, and if the average price of petrol and diesel was assumed to be Rs. 230 per litre, the value of bank card sales came to Rs. 92 billion per year.
Banks impose 1.5% MDR on one litre and gain Rs. 1.38 billion in MDR from OMC margins rather than consumers. The OMCs' yearly profit margin on bank card sales is Rs. 1.472 billion, with banks receiving Rs. 1.38 billion, leaving a net margin of Rs. 92 million. This is why OMCs are no longer able to sell fuel using credit or debit cards.

While a win will move Pakistan closer to the final after they defeated defending champions India in a last-over thriller, they will face a highly determined opponent as Afghanistan seeks their first Super 4 victory.

In a significant breakthrough, researchers used laser flashes to manufacture microscopic diamonds out of plastic bottles and hypothesised that diamonds may be falling from the sky on planets throughout the universe. The work was reported in Science Advances.
Scientists have used common plastic to recreate the precipitation that is supposed to originate deep within Uranus and Neptune. The odd technique of manufacturing diamonds may also help to reduce the quantity of plastic rubbish we generate.
