President Ram Nath Kovind and Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov had a tete-e-tete followed by delegation levels talks. The leaders discussed issues of bilateral and regional cooperation, including under the framework of India-Central Asia Summit.
Four MoUs for cooperation in disaster management, financial intelligence, culture and youth matters were signed between India and Turkmenistan in the presence of President Kovind and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
President Ram Nath Kovind arrived in Ashgabat on the first part of his two-nation visit. President Kovind was received by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan and accorded a ceremonial guard of honour on his arrival at the Ashgabat airport.
As per the Turkmen tradition, the President was offered bread and salt by children at the airport.
President Kovind inaugurated the ‘Arogya Vanam’ at Rashtrapati Bhavan in presence of Prime Minister @narendramodi. Arogya Vanam has been conceived with the aim of publicising the
importance of Ayurvedic plants and their effects on human organs. It is now open to public.
