On November 25th, 1997 the Ramones got together at Tower Records in NYC to sign copies of the We’re Outta Here box that had just been released. It was a VHS tape of the very last Ramones concert that took place August 1996 in LA. All the Ramones were there except Richie. Here’s a shot from that day of Dee Dee looking kinda agitated, like he didn’t want to be there. His gray hair made it seem like a lifetime ago that he was in the band. He did his duty that night, signing autographs with the band, being “Good Dee Dee.” Fans didn’t see the argument in front of Joey’s earlier that afternoon when Dee Dee didn’t want to get in the van to go to Tower. Johnny finally convinced him though. He could always get through to Dee Dee. The Ramones would make one last appearance together, in 1999, for the release of the Rhino Records Ramones Anthology.
