#FridaysForFuture climate strike today to celebrate three years of @yacaphilippines this August! Remember that the climate crisis is not just about the extreme weather events and carbon dioxide emissions. It stems from the historical exploitation of the people and our planet for the profit of the elite few. This has led to countries in the Global South not being equipped to adapt and have difficulties to develop a sustainable and green system. Climate change is a symptom of the imperialist system. It is rooted in the profit-oriented colonial plunder that exists until today; in this system that wantonly takes from our environment and oppresses the people for the impossible fantasy of the everlasting growth of the richest 1% (mostly from the Global North).
