So the story is…
The guitar on the left was my first offset guitar I bought in the very early 90s. It’s a 1964 Futurama Coronado Automatic. Only 200 were made almost 60 years ago by Hagstrom of 🇸🇪. It’s my favourite guitar and without doubt the one I’m the most sentimental about. It still sports the stickers I put on it when I was 16. ‘STP and ‘Pantene girl’, (the STP was a nod to Steve Turner of Mudhoneys mustang and nothing to do with stone temple pilots, I later found out Steves STP mustang was a nod to some 60s guitarist whose name escapes me) the ‘I love Stevie Wonder’ sticker that was on the headstock fell off about ten years ago. It has a super thin neck and an acrylic fretboard which is lightning fast. I’ve never played anything else that comes close. The buttons are basically a kill switch, pick up selectors and tone controls. I’ve been lucky enough to pick up another two recently and they are equally bad ass! Anyways I’ve dug out some pics of me playing it from over the years and added to this post Cuz I’m a sentimental old git! 😝
