Last week the @uk.shooters & @uk.portraits teams hosted an epic challenge/photo meet crossover with @snapdragon_uk! It involved equipping the attendees with devices fitted with the Snapdragon 8 gen one chip, and sending them off to different locations via clues to create different pieces of content on the phones. May the most creative group win! #ad New year, new gear & more gear 😍 Over the past few years as a photographer/videographer, I've built up collection of random lenses and bodies that I can no longer use. As I've now switched to the Sony A7SIII, it means I can't use my Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 lens anymore as it's an EF mount. So instead of putting it up on eBay or Facebook marketplace and waiting for a buyer or dealing with timewasters, I went and got a surprisingly good quote from MPB for the lens. It was pretty quick and easy and they offered a free collection for the lens too which was nice. I've known about @mpbcom since the time I bought my first Samyang 14mm lens from them 4 years ago - they allow creators to buy, sell or trade photography and video equipment, with a fast payment process (I must admit it's pretty nice to get paid quickly 👀). Kicking off 2022 with a 2021 recap 🥳 What a year it’s been! Thanks for sticking with me and hello to everyone new 👋🏼 My name is Keenan and I am a cinematographer. Let me tell you about some of my most memorable projects this year 😉 We started off the year with an epic project with @nvidia and their RTX 30 series graphics cards. Then the @uk.shooters team had an awesome project with @xiaomi.uk where we had to shoot some epic content with their phones. I did mine in my shower… 👀🚿 We then went off to Bristol and shot a fun video with @bentleynewsroom @bentleymotors. Took off to Scotland to film @ferguscrawley compete in one of the toughest triathlons for @gymshark. I couldn’t have completed this without the help of our amazing film and photo crew. We smashed it. Then @lumixuk hit me up and said I could create whatever I wanted with their S5. So I produced my favourite film ever called Above the Rim featuring @f.balarabe. Again, without the help of my team, none of this would have been possible so thank you to everyone involved! In addition to this, I had my first reel surpass over a million views which was an experience to say the least! I felt famous for a few days 🤣 I then went and shot the @venommovie premiere in Leicester Square for @sonypicturesuk and @jonbrandoncruz. Alongside this, I’ve shot some epic videos for @workshopgymnasium and @bulgarihotels, @niftygateway, @workshopgymnasium, @porsche and @astrolighting. What a fucking year it’s been. So many crazy ups and downs and uncertainties, but the one thing I know for certain is that everything works better in a team 🙏🏼 I’ve learnt that teamwork really makes the dream work, and I’m going to keep that in mind going into this year! I can’t wait to see what happens, there are already some exciting things in the works. Stick around and join the journey! Here’s to 2022! 💜 Thank you to everyone who made it possible. Took a trip around Portugal with this incredible machine from @siestacampers 🚐 🇵🇹 I can’t lie, it was a mission to drive this thing. No power steering meant reversing and turning was a myth 😂 But the experience of driving and sleeping in it is a must - if you ever hit up the Algarve, rent a camper from Siesta. ABOVE THE RIM 🏀 // LINK IN BIO to watch the full film 👈🏻 IT’S OUT!! My favourite and best project to date. When @lumixuk tasked me with creating a short film, I HAD to hit up my boy @f.balarabe. I actually promised him that I’d make a film about him one day whilst playing Call of Duty back in lockdown 😂 Client: @lumixuk - Talent: @f.balarabe 1st AC: @calumcurrie 2nd AC: @cnicfilms Gaffer: @deen_gomez Spark: @jordanthejumper Basketball Court: @regalbasketball It was shot in one day, and all on the Lumix S5 in 5.9K BRAW. It records the codec via HDMI into the Blackmagic Video Assist 12G HDR monitor. Editing and grading with this codec is great because I am able to change my white balance and other settings in post, as if I was actually changing them on set. It gives me more freedom and flexibility in post, and the added resolution is a huge plus.
