There are many reasons why your blondes may be coming out or appearing Too dark 👇🏻👇🏻
👉🏻 FORMULATION ERRORP - If you want to keep your blondes bright formulate with gold added. Yes even but especially your cool blondes. Warmth reflects light making it appear brighter and cool tones absorb it making it appear darker.
👉🏻 BUILD UP - You may need to removed build up causing your blondes to look dark and dull. Things such as too much purple shampoo deposit and mineral build up will make the hair appear darker. Opt for a detox treatment and then a gentle color remover if necessary.
👉🏻 NOT LIFTED ENOUGH - This can be the case especially when looking to achieve a bright platinum blonde or even a dark blonde! Remember you can only tone on level or darker. If you want a level 9 but only lift to a level 8, you will not be able to achieve that level 9.

HERES HOW I STYLE THE HAIR INTO WAVES USING MY CURLING IRON👇🏻
➰ Always use heat protectant! I spray a dry heat protectant on every single section before I curl
➰ I recommend not taking sections of hair larger than the barrel of the iron you are using
➰ Curl everything away from the face but make sure to LEAVE THOSE ENDS STRAIGHT. If you curl the ends you want get as much of a wave but more curl appeal.
➰ Using a wide tooth detangling comb or brush, brush out your curls once they have cooled. The more you brush the smoother the wave will be

‼️Save this guide ‼️for TEASYLIGHT / FOILYAGE Applications : % of tease 👇🏻
‼️Here’s what different Percentages of teased hair do for your overall results when doing Teasylights👇🏻
1️⃣ 25% Tease = Least amount of dimension. With 75% of your section left Un Teased, you end up lightening more hair , creating more brightness but not retaining as much depth.
2️⃣ 50% Tease = More dimension. Equal amounts of dark and light are left in the hair. With half of the hair teased, half will be lightened , leaving equal amounts of light and dark hair.
3️⃣ 75% Tease = Most Dimension! You tease 75% of the hair, leaving 25% left to be lightened. With more dark left you will achieve the max amount of dimension. Remember over highlighting will result in less dimension.

Here’s how to easily Find your perimeter and establishing a length when doing concave layering. 👇🏻
👉🏻 Bring your section up and angle your fingers at a 45 degree diagonal . I like to say point the hair to the sky. You find your shortest Length and that is the perimeter of the cut. Use that to establish your layering. It’s that easy!

4 Foil placements and the results that they achieve 👇🏻👇🏻
DIAGONAL BACK - diagonals are the most natural type of line you can place on the head. This will provide dimension with soft diffusion.
DIAGONAL FORWARD - Helps bring more brightness to the front of the section with soft movement. Dimension that is more natural
HORIZONTAL - Gives you maximum coverage. Blended and not dimensional. For covering a lot of area
VERTICAL - Great for create high contrast and dimensional results. Perfect for bold ribbons.

Do this to achieve a soft money piece without needing a root shadow 👇🏻👇🏻
👉🏻 1 weave along the hairline. The next weave you want to pivot back to almost horizontal, don’t be afraid to leave a little hair in between , the third weave which is almost completely horizontal from here you Backcomb. Teasing this last one provides that soft gradient blend

Want to change or add colors but don’t want to process the hair anymore? I got you 👇🏻
👉🏻 Here we added k tip extensions to give us the ability to add some different colors to her previously processed and lightened hair. We didn’t want to lighten her actual hair anymore on the mids and ends so we used individually bonded @dreamcatchershair k tips to adds pops of color and bonus, we got a tiny bit of length added as well.
@dreamcatchershair is the highest quality hair available on the market. It takes and holds color so well I didn’t need to pre tone or tint them before applying my semi permanent color. These individually bonded extensions will last between 3-5 months depending on lifestyle, wear and care. Once that time has passed we will remove these and add a new set in.

I wanted to share something more personal. You may or may not have heard me tell my story, if not here it is in brief👇🏻
I started using drugs and alcohol at the age of 9 or 10 , which rapidly became a serious probably and at the age 14 I was drinking almost daily and taking pills. By 16 I was heavily addicted to IV a heroin. I dropped out of high school in the middle of my junior year and joined Paul Mitchell a couple months later. I knew I was going to be a stylist at 14. I was excited to learn and eager to finish, but the drugs took me down so far. I was arrested mid cos school for possession of heroin. I ended up on probation for 3 years, ended up finishing school only 2 months late and found a salon home right before graduating, after a year of training under amazing stylists I once again fell deep into my mind and addiction. Midst a heavy bath salt induced psychosis I ended up in the psychiatric hospital for the millionth time and lost my first salon job. I spent months floating around until finishing probation and ended up traveling for the first time. Hitchhiking and rubbertramping, which turned into train hopping. I was in and out of salons, failing to stabilize myself due to my drug use and struggles with mental health. In 2016 I drove my car into the side of someone while falling asleep at the wheel(luckily no one was hurt) I ended up in jail again. A couple months later I left for ny to escape myself. Stayed sober for 1.5 months and fell back into my heroin addiction. That kept up for 2 more years until in the spring of 2019 i felt I was done and couldn’t sustain life anymore. I hung myself after drinking way too much vodka. I woke up in the psychiatric hospital unknowing of what happened. I had just barely survived suicide, was airlifted to the hospital where I was on a ventilator in icu for days. After getting out I knew I had no other choice but to try and get sober. If things were to the point I didn’t want to live and death wasn’t ready for me , I had to try living for the first time in my adult life. I got sober 2 months later in the summer of 2019 . CONTINUE IN THE COMMENTS if you care to read about my story👇🏻
Here’s a PSA to stop cranking those hot tools up as high as they can go‼️455 is typically just too hot for hair to handle👇🏻 - IF YOU DONT READ THIS CAPTION, don’t bother commenting
❌ At 455 degrees the color burns off of the hair from holding the iron on it for 2 seconds. The iron burns the color right out the hair. This is exactly why blondes, vivids and pre lightened and colored guests shouldn’t use this high of heat.
❌ Most hair will style correctly with 325 degrees or less. The thinner or more fine your hair is the lower the heat setting should be. Textured or coily hair will most likely require higher heat.
❌ For people with colored hair, vivids, & especially blondes , even more so cool blondes, 300 degrees is the MAX temp I would recommend using. These clients I will usually advise to keep their hot tools set at or below 250‼️
