@white_noise_dada is a dutch design studio born from the collaboration between Klaas Kuiken and Charley Reijnders, two designers motivated to reformulate the current world’s values and standards through provocation, humor, activism and, of course, design. Following their provocative slogan, “Stop Making Sense”, they created two design works which stand as an allegation against the absurd way society, and therefore the individuals that make it up, behaves while completely lacking on overview and ethics. The “Wall Piece” and the “Re-Edition of the Wall Lamp” were both created using waste foam. Playing with textures and shades, Klass and Charley have torn the foam apart and dyed it with different colors, trying to make it look like stone's pieces. The deceptive aspect is immediately contradicted by the softness and the unnatural colours of the materials. Recycling waste to give them a brand new and valuable life is the heart of WhiteNoiseDADA’s project.
