“Breaking” opens tomorrow in theaters. We shot last summer with a phenomenal LA crew and led by our talented, nerves-of-steel, heart-of-gold director Abi Demaris Corbin. This film tells the true story of veteran Brian Easley, who held a bank hostage in a desperate attempt to get the attention he deserved from the Veterans Affairs. It feels good to have Brian’s story told today. His family approved of the film and were integral in capturing Brian’s spirit. I’m shit at formatting on Instagram but I want to shout out the crew that made this film happen: producers Sal Al-Rashid, Sam Frohman, Jarrett Turner, Ashley Levinson & Kevin Turren, line producer Harrison Huffman, gaffer Drew Nelson (whom I had previously worked with on Sorry To Bother You), Key Grip Joe Heath, focus puller (the unflappable) Buddy Allen Thomas, Additional camera operating Emily Hock, DIT (and Navy Vereran!) Michael Borenstein, electric Vanessa Woo, Steadicam operators Ben Verhulst, Nate Anderson, Joel Marsh, Timber Hoy, utility Alex Macat, additional photography by Andrew Jeric, and legend dolly grip Joe Ruiz. Thank you to Natasha Leonnet of CO3 for your eyes and talents. Cameras by the stellar team at Keslow. Grateful to everyone that had a hand in bringing this powerful story to the big screen.
Really loved working with directors Lucy Tcherniak & Matt Spicer as they brought the vision of Angelyne to screen.
