The process of a commission for @andrewbarretcox
The total project took me about 4/5 weeks to complete and over 60 hours of labor. I don’t have the original sketch by Andrew but the concept was theirs, I just redrew it to clarify details and proportions! Thanks to @moodfabrics and @previewtextile for the fabrics. Stoned with Swarovski crystal by @zeldagarment and stitching/ruff help provided by my friend @rainey_kay
Let me tell you about Judy Garland’s 100th Birthday Gala….
@judygarlandfragrance@lornaluftofficial
Thank you to @downtheyellowbrickpod for including me in your day-of festivities and introducing me to so many people. I was invited out of the blue, with no connections, and knew no one present. I was really honored to be one of the few (if not the only?) Judy performer present. This fall, I’ll unveil what I was *going* to wear but didn’t. ;)
Special skills: Twirling on marble, hopping on barstools, happy endings to broom handles, and always being ready for the 📸
June brunch shows at @oscarwildenyc with @phoebejeebiesnyc were everything. I’m so grateful. I have an amazing drag daughter. And I am so glad that @anthonycunanan.photo could capture us on NYC Pride weekend.
What makes us strong is our community. I look around, through photos and videos on this app, and realize it’s a really really beautiful community of ppl I’ve been blessed with. Thank you for being here. I’m here for you always. For a laugh, a cry, a number, a hug, advocacy, or just a bubble tea date. Im proud of you, don’t forget that! Pride is all year long. ;)
