Bulldogs player Corey Waddell has slammed Gold Coast Titans captain Tino Fa’asuamaleaui for claiming he was eye gouged by Waddell just to win the penalty for his team. Waddell said he doesn’t want to be known as a dirty player and he certainly isn’t one and is now sitting on the sidelines for 5 weeks, for something he didn’t do. He said he can’t knock Fa’asuamaleaui for trying to win the penalty and game for his team but says he did not gouge him, he understands it doesn’t look great but it was a split second and Fa’asuamaleaui wasn’t blowing up or worried about his eye, he was more worried about pleading for a penalty
