New (full) video on my YouTube channel!
Continuing from our last weeks video on Concealed Carry Combatives we also have to take into consideration:
1-our point shooting from the hip (as many practice) might not hit the target when we are both moving
2-that one shot may not immediately stop the threat especially with a pistol caliber so anticipate that you will need multiple impacts and more time addressing the threat
3-the attacker will most likely not stop after one attempted strike and will chase and continue to attack
4-point shooting can be done with hands high you you can look done the slide of the pistol for better accuracy and a more defensive position
***safety note, these are dryfire or blue gun style drills. Don’t replicate them live fire.

On night vision simple movements become more difficult. Loss of field of view, depth perception and focus are all restricted. This is one of the many reasons why training our proprioception is so important.

Not everyone is going to get what you’re doing or why you’re doing it, especially when they don’t have context or understand why you do certain things at certain times vs others. You’re going to have 3% of the people that hate no matter what. You’ll never run into them at the gym or at the range trying to get better. Keep moving forward and doing what you do. Keep an open mind but don’t let peoples negativity get you off track. Dirt off your shoulders.
Brief look into our Concealed Carry Combatives training breaking down some ground movement to create space from the threat.

I love having those kind of experiences that just fill you up! Arriving at our new training location today at a private ranch we went for a ride on quads out to where we will conduct the training and the views were absolutely awe inspiring! Riding the quads through the mountains terrain was so exhilarating. It felt so good to be back among the mountains.
