Hello, I’m Becky @elderandwild your host this week! Thank you so much to Barbara @ashwellflowers for hosting last week.

I’m a small scale grower and florist based in Nottingham, it’s mainly just myself with a little help from my husband Sam and my greenhouse companion Margot (pictured inspecting this seasons tulips if you swipe along). I grow as much as I can in my cut flower garden at the back of our home, it’s 0.2 ish acres, if that, and we’ve been growing here for about 6 years. I mainly grow for myself, for use in the weddings and events which form the core of my business and I only use British grown flowers in my work. I’ll mainly be taking this week to talk a little about growing for floristry in a small space, for which @flowersfromthefarm has been an essential source of learning, inspiration and community. I’ve also got a wedding on this week so I’ll be posting a little about that and the gorgeous seasonal blooms I’ll be using. Hope you enjoy the week with me! Becky 🌿
