Some images just sum up a place, this is one of those images. Early morning light with a clan of hyena feeding on a hippo with two hot Air Balloons in the backdrop. For me, it sums up the Masai Mara. . The one down side to photographs is that they don’t capture the sound or smell of the scene. It stank. A dead hippo smells like rotting blue cheese in my opinion. Plus the sound the hyenas were making will stay with me forever. I have a video in my story, make sure to turn up the volume. .
