The Lagoon Nebula (M8), is a large emission nebula in the constellation Sagittarius, about 4,000-6,000 light-years away. It has a dimension of about 110 by 50 light years. With the wider field, the rich field of stars as well as the star cluster NGC 6544 in the upper right and a collection of emission nebula to the lower right of the Lagoon (IC4685, IC1274, and IC1275) are visible as well.
This was taken with Skywatcher Esprit 100, Optolong L-Extreme filter, and ASI2600MC pro CMOS camera. It is a total integration of about 4 hours of 300 second subs processed in Pixinsight.
