I’d wanted to see some Bioluminescent Plankton for some time and finally managed to see some in the rock pools when I stayed at Penmon Point in Anglesey on Thursday. I’m looking forward to going back when it’s in full swing, such a beautiful occurrence. Fun Fact: Bioluminescence is the production and emission of light by living organisms. It is a form of chemiluminescence. Bioluminescence occurs widely in marine vertebrates and invertebrates, as well as in some fungi, microorganisms including some bioluminescent bacteria, and terrestrial arthropods such as fireflies.
