Master Couturier Christian Lacroix, taking the time to interview me for the ultimate @interviewmag 💝
I was so nervous. Meeting a master.
He was gracious and kind.
A rare example of meeting one of your heros and falling head over heels for them in real-time. What a reminder to not be afraid of the greats … grateful for that!
He is deeply quotable, but my favorite line is when he talks about his childhood by the sea … one filled with “white horses, black bulls, and the gold of the sun.”
Merci Monsieur Lacroix @fkachristianlacroix and thank you @melzy917 for making this happen ✨🏆
The few days before a Couture show is like Christmas morning on steroids. Being together, unwrapping masterpieces by some of the most gifted hands on the planet… the team often bursting into rounds of applause and/or tears and often both at the same time ❤️ it’s the emotional payoff of couture that has been the biggest surprise.
Deep deep heartfelt gratitude is the only response that makes sense.
Thank you ✨✨✨

For my dearest Hanya, whose new book “To Paradise” has just arrived. It’s being called “a masterpiece for our time,” and “as good as War and Peace,” … demonstrating “the inexhaustible ingenuity of an author who keeps shattering expectations.”
I am so thankful to be a part of this artist’s life and work. Endless love for @hanyayanagihara !!!

Got a chance to speak with the wonderful @steffyotka for @voguemagazine - topics include how much I love New York, why it’s a good thing that Paris is so lonely, and what comes next for @schiaparelli 🔮
