I can’t tell you how much I love this image! This is an image I’ve had in mind for a while and wasn’t able to capture - until now! It wasn’t easy to edit with all the light pollution but to my surprise I was able to manage it in post. This is about a 180 degree panorama with 29 tracked sky images and 9 foreground images blended in Ps. Once again I tried the less is more approach and walked into the park, captured the tracked sky images followed by the foreground images, packed up and left! No back ups or second images! I didn’t specifically go out to chase the meteor shower/s but just so happened to capture a few the other night while out. This was one of the better ones while I was capturing foreground images for a large Milky Way arch panorama. This was the most I’ve ever seen in 1 night albeit no big monsters. This beautiful church cops a lot of hate because it’s captured so much - just like the Wanaka (Wanka 😂) tree. Personally, I don’t think I’ve captured it nearly enough😜. Someone used a church image of mine on FB last night and asked where it is and I was surprised at how many people said to avoid it as it’s “over photographed”! For me, no matter how much a place has been photographed and shared, if I haven’t captured my own image then why wouldn’t I want to capture it! I’ve never quite understood that!
